Since 2021, Thomas Schirrmacher has been coeditor/editor in chief of the German Yearbook on the Discrimination and Persecution of Christians and of the Yearbook on Religious Freedom (on all other religions). Meanwhile both yearbooks are bound together as a turn over book („flip book“). The volumes of 2018 til 2021 are still available in print for free for libraries and researchers.
Those yearbooks are published by the International Institute for religious Freedom and the International Society for Human Rights on behalf of the German, the Austrian and the Swiss Evangelical Alliance and handed over to each member of the Federal Parlaments in Germany and Austria, as well as to the German speaking MPs in Switzerland. The yearbooks have been quoted and discussed and several plenary discussions of one hour around religious freedom in the German Parlament „Der Deutsche Bundestag“, taking places at least yearly.
