The global religious communities are part of this large and diverse group, including WEA.

Being from Norway, Rostad also advised Thomas Schirrmacher concerning a tour to Greenland, Svalbard, Island and Norway planed in summer 2022 to see the effect of climate change in the cold regions of Europe and its effect on people living there.

Ingrid Rostad is co-chair of the Major Groups Facilitating Committee (MGFC) which facilitates Major Groups and Stakeholders engagement with UNEP. She is also a policy adviser in the Norwegian Forum for Development and Environment (ForUM Norway), a network of more than 50 Norwegian NGOs working with climate, biodiversity, sustainable development, human rights, responsible business, and financing for development.

Rostad holds an MA in political science from the University of Oslo, specialising in democratic institutions and participation. In ForUM Norway she is responsible for coordinating the work on nature and meaningful participation for civil society.
