Thomas Paul Schirrmacher is the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Council of Oriental Christians in Germany (ZOCD, http://en.zocd.de/zentralrat/about) which represents Christians of all confessions in the MENA region living in Germany, most of them being German citizens meanwhile. The majority belong to Orthodox and Old-Oriental Churches. Vice Chair of the Advisory Board is Volkmar Klein, a member of the German federal Parlament (in the picture bottom left). The newly elected Chair of the Council is Simon Jacob (upper left).
