The Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance, Thomas Schirrmacher, attended the virtual National Prayer Breakfast (called in German „Internationale Berliner Begegnung“), which he attends every year for several decades (as he does with the one in Washington as well). He thanked the NPB in playing a central role in all kind of peace talks in Africa. Not by chance, one of the contributions was from Ms. Mulu Solomon, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Germany. Other speakers were Martin Schulz, former President of the European Parlament, Norbert Lammert, former President of the German Parlament, David Beasley, Executive Director of the UN’s World Food Programme and Julia Klöckner, Germany’s Minister of Nutrition and Agriculture. The NPB in Germany was founded by Rudolf Decker and is managed by Volker Brecht (see photos).
